When a pipe breaks, the damage isn't limited to the pipe itself: there's the water in the floors, walls and rooms below, possible damage to furniture and belongings, and there's the insurance claim, which needs technical photographic documentation and — often — an appraisal report. We do both: we repair the system with certified materials and techniques, and we provide the client with the full technical dossier needed for reimbursement. We regularly work with the major Italian insurance groups and know the documentation format that speeds up claims.
What we do for the insurance claim
Immediate on-site survey with photographic and — when relevant — thermographic documentation at the moment of damage; CCTV of the affected pipe with precise localisation of the rupture point; PDF technical report describing the likely cause (freezing, corrosion, installation defect, exceptional event), presumed date of failure, extent of damage; cost estimate for the repair and for collateral damage restoration. On request we attend the insurance assessor's visit to technically support the claim and resolve any disputes about cause.
Familiar with the major insurers
We have years of experience on claims with UnipolSai, Generali, Allianz, Cattolica, Reale Mutua, Vittoria Assicurazioni, Zurich and others. We know the documentation formats appraisers expect, the type of photographic evidence that speeds reimbursement, standard contractual conditions on water damage and the most frequent exclusions. On complex or high-value claims we coordinate with the client's broker or agent.
Technical repair
We perform the repair directly using certified materials and techniques compliant with applicable standards. On potable water piping we use press fittings for multilayer and copper or fusion welding for PE/PP; on gas systems brazed welding or compression fittings with metallic gasket; on PVC drainage push-fit joints with lip gaskets; on cast iron pipework electro-fusion sleeves or welded sleeves. For every intervention we provide a DM 37/08 compliance declaration and — on request — record the characteristics of materials used in the installation logbook. Five-year warranty on workmanship and ten-year warranty on materials.

Do you advance the cost of the intervention?
For claims where reimbursement is reasonably certain, we can agree on deferred payment terms tied to claim settlement. Case by case, with clear conditions communicated before the intervention.
What should I do as soon as I find a leak?
First, shut off the water upstream if possible, photograph the damage before drying or moving anything, call us for the survey, contact the insurer to open the claim. The more complete the initial documentation, the smoother the claim.
Do you also work with foreign insurers?
Yes, especially on properties owned by foreign clients (Switzerland, France). Bilingual documentation available on request.
